Original LEGO Club BadgesReading Time: 2 minutes

I was clearing through some old stuff that’s been stuck at my parents for years this week. They contained the usual things of toys, books, etc. But then I lifted the lid on a box and found my old LEGO Club Badges! [Read more…] about LEGO Club Badge Collection are a Blast from my Building Past

LEGO Airport Cargo Plane 60101 Casual CaptainReading Time: < 1 minute

I love putting these videos together as I build LEGO sets. But it does mean I usually have to build the model twice. Once to enjoy the build and do the review and a second time to do the time lapse. This one was a smaller LEGO City plane 60101. [Read more…] about Time Lapse build of the LEGO City Cargo Plane

Quick build of the Creator Propeller Adventures 7292 set

March 23, 2018 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

LEGO Creator Propeller Adventures 7292Reading Time: 2 minutes

I wanted to share a quick afternoon LEGO Creator build I did with my eldest who really wanted to build something with me. This ended up being really enjoyable little plane build, which is creator set 7292. It features working propellers, landing gear with a clever little ‘locking’ system and simple but effective swivelling rear wheel.

LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 919 Hybrid Review

March 21, 2018 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

LEGO Speed Champions 2018 Porsche 919 Hybrid 75887 Cool hotReading Time: 9 minutes

Welcome to my final review of the early 2018 Lego Speed Champions individual sets. Last and by no means least, we have the Porsche 919 hybrid. This is actually the second time it’s been featured, and was originally in the Porsche 919 Hybrid and 917K Pit Lane 75887 set that was released in 2016.

I went into this review with conflicted feelings. The last set I review was the Ford Mustang which was an exceptional set. Before that the Fiesta and Ferrari 488 GT3 were my first forays into Speed Champions land. Every one has been better than I expected or ever hoped so this has a lot to live up to, not least because it’s a slightly awkward looking car in the first place imo. So, I’m pleased to say that the Porsche 919 Hybrid has not disappointed me! So read on. [Read more…] about LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 919 Hybrid Review

LEGO Space Shuttle Launch Pad in Microscale by Kackalartka

March 19, 2018 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

LEGO Space Shuttle in MicroscaleReading Time: < 1 minute

I have so many fond memories of building LEGO Space Shuttle MOCs as a kid – and always wanted the many, many, many official sets. Whereas mine were generally large play-set style models, Kackalartka has managed to recreate it as a gorgeous microscale model.
