This is the last of the LEGO Speed Champions 2018 sets I’ll be reviewing for now. I’ve quite literally saved the best for last with this one! The Porsche 911 is one of my all-time favourite cars. And in this set, you get 2! Brilliant! That’s a pole position start in my books! [Read more…] about LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0 75888 Review
LEGO Speed Champions 2018
Welcome to my final review of the early 2018 Lego Speed Champions individual sets. Last and by no means least, we have the Porsche 919 hybrid. This is actually the second time it’s been featured, and was originally in the Porsche 919 Hybrid and 917K Pit Lane 75887 set that was released in 2016.
I went into this review with conflicted feelings. The last set I review was the Ford Mustang which was an exceptional set. Before that the Fiesta and Ferrari 488 GT3 were my first forays into Speed Champions land. Every one has been better than I expected or ever hoped so this has a lot to live up to, not least because it’s a slightly awkward looking car in the first place imo. So, I’m pleased to say that the Porsche 919 Hybrid has not disappointed me! So read on. [Read more…] about LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 919 Hybrid Review
Welcome to my review of the 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. This is part of the LEGO Speed Champions 2018 lineup which has been very good so far. You can find my other reviews of these fantastic sets here on the blog. [Read more…] about LEGO Speed Champions 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback Review
So today I went down to my local shops to pickup some new sets. I’m trying to get a bit of variety in what I cover here, but more importantly have more variety for my new city! Of what I got two LEGO City sets that are soon to be discontinued I believe. Those the Airport Cargo Plane and Fishing Boat. They’re both sets I’d been looking at for a while and now they’re end of line I didn’t want to miss out on them! [Read more…] about New Stash of LEGO sets for March 2018
Welcome to my second LEGO review. For this one, I’ll be looking at the LEGO Speed Champions Ford Fiesta M Sport WRC 75885. My second venture into the LEGO Speed Champions 2018 range and I’ll start by saying that I’m not at all disappointed! The whole package from the packaging to the build to the finished product reflects how far the quality of LEGO Sets has come. Read on to find out my thoughts on the good and bad parts of this great little set!
Here’s a fun little time lapse build of the LEGO Speed Champions Ford Fiesta M SPORT WRC 75885. I’ve tried to make it clear what parts have been used and how they come together. The car does drift a bit doing the shoot but it’s my second ever one so need some work.
So this is my first time writing a LEGO review so you’ll have to bare with me. For this review I’ve focused on the LEGO Ferrari 488 GT3 “Scuderia Corsa” 75886. Like I said in my previous post, this is the first time I’ve gotten into the LEGO Speed Champions range. And I can safely say this won’t be my last (well, I already acquired 4 of the early 2018 range).
Went to one of the local Kmart’s today to collect the first of the new Lego Speed Champions 2018 sets for review. Been really looking forward to them since they were announced back in January, especially the Ford Fiesta – always enjoyed the WRC races – but the Mustang is cool! Also, these are the first Speed Champions sets I’ve purchased. Always been tempted, but never took the plunge till now.
First impressions were really good! The packaging is to Lego’s usual high standard and the boxes had a good weight to them. I don’t know about you, but personally I always find that quite reassuring, especially being a plastic toy.
