My Favourite Videos of the new 2018 LEGO City Train Sets

June 26, 2018 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The 2018 LEGO City Train sets are due to arrive on the 1st of July, and I cannot wait! But some retailers have had them for sale early. And some Lucky YouTubers have gotten hold of sets to show off the features. Here are a few of my favourites.

I have watched too many of these videos – and participated in a few. So these are the ones I got the most value and enjoyment out of. Enjoy!

Dunkster Bricks

First up is Dunkster Bricks. He live streamed his videos for building the LEGO City Cargo Train (60198)icon and the LEGO City Passenger Train (60197)icon. He’s a bit of a pro when it comes to LEGO City Trains and you can see the full build of each come to life. Definitely worth a watch as he picks up on some of the details of the build and new control system you might otherwise miss.

P.S. I’m in the chat for this one. Keep an eye for GJBricks.

Sariel’s LEGO® Workshop

Next up is Sariel’s LEGO® Workshop. He’s got a video showing off the new Power Functions controller on his phone. It’s fun to see the train horn, accelerate, break, boarding and more sound effects. It also features a couple of different themes that vary the sounds slightly. Check it out! It’s fun, trust me!

Brick Ministry

Last up is Brick Ministry, and they have done speed builds of both trains. The videos they make are great at showing off all of the features and Minifigures in great detail. They call it a speed build and review but it’s of a build and walkthrough. Either way, I love their videos and you get to see the trains in motion.

As you can no doubt tell, I’m pretty excited for these two new LEGO City Train sets! The LEGO City Passenger Train is on my must-have list as I don’t have a passenger train currently. But I do recommend checking out those videos if you can’t wait to get your hands on it!

Now obviously, as soon as I can get my hands on it, I’ll be doing a review on the GJBricks YouTube channel. So be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications!
