LEGO Ideas Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse Review (Set 21368)

I’ve always loved Snoopy and the incredible Peanuts universe that Charles M. Schulz created. The joy and happiness it brings in every story has always made me happy—and that love actually started with a childhood Snoopy money box that looks almost identical to this LEGO model!

So, when LEGO announced the charming LEGO Ideas Snoopy Dog House set, I knew we had to have it. In my opinion, this is hands-down the best LEGO Ideas set of 2026. But why? Let’s dive in.

The Big Picture

Clocking in at 964 pieces, this set perfectly captures that iconic Schulz aesthetic. It brings Snoopy, Woodstock, and that famous red doghouse to life with incredible detail.

As for the pricing, you can find it on LEGO.com with the major markets being:

The star of the show is Snoopy himself, who can be built in three different iconic poses: typing on his typewriter, lying on the roof, or standing/sitting. It’s not without a few minor quirks, like some visible stud holes, but overall, it packs a massive nostalgic punch.

The Dog House Build

Building a bright red doghouse might sound simple, but LEGO turned a plain structure into a really clever build. It sits on a neat display plate built with studs-on-the-side techniques and features cool new organic grass pieces.

The house locks solidly onto the base and uses clever techniques for the wood slats with the roof being detachable using some neat connecting tricks. The top plates is upside-down to allow you to attach Snoopy in multiple ways.

And one huge win here – the Snoopy nameplate is 100% printed! There are no stickers in this set. Event the eys on the faces are printed!

Modular Snoopy & Woodstock

Character models are often static, but Snoopy’s charm comes from his body language. This set feels like three sets in one because of the interchangeable builds and through some clever part choice and the attachment of Snoopy’s ears using swivels – seriously, this gives him so much character! – the amount of pose-ability for what is a display set at heart, is a delight!

The set allows you to put Snoopy into 3 unique poses

The “Sitting” Pose:

Using the “bendy leg” version, Snoopy can sit properly next to his miniature typewriter. This is my favourite pose, but a word of warning: The way the legs are made “Bendy” offer no support so the sitting pose requires him to be pinned in place attached via some small pins can be a little flimsy. But it’s worth it! And I love how Woodstock attached to the typewriter!

The “Lying Down” Pose:

The classic look of Snoopy on the red roof with Woodstock on his tummy and the same as my old money box. And to complete the pose, there’s a couple of studs on Snoopy’s tummy for Woodstock to attach to.

There is one modification that needs to be made to the head which is to move the next closer to the back of the head which gives snoopy a very large head. But as you can see in this photo, that’s more than acceptable to re-create the pose!

To cover up the normal hole, there is a small plate that covers the gap left. You can flip it to cover the back hole so that it is attached when the head is forward too although that limits the movement in the head slightly.

The “Standing” Pose:

And then finally, we get the standing pose which is great for a traditional display, though slightly less expressive than the others. But it does mean that you can show the house next to Snoopy. Personally, I’m not a fan of this look, but I applaud LEGO for including this as an option.

Don’t forget Woodstock

Woodstock is such an integral part of the Snoopy/Peanuts world and if you’ve ever watched or read the cartoons, you know how important he is to Snoopy’s worlds. It’s a tiny build with tons of personality, using yellow grass pieces for his head feathers and a custom printed piece for the face. Compared to the original LEGO Ideas version, I think this is a huge improvement!

The Secret Interior

There is a wonderful secret hiding inside! If you lift the house, you’ll find a black plate that opens to reveal a cozy hidden night scene, complete with stars and a campfire setup for roasting marshmallows.

It’s a charming nod to the original LEGO Ideas fan submission that featured Woodstock and Snoopy in a more brickbuilt version. I will say that I do really like the original Snoopy design that used traditional bricks and slopes, vs the curved pieces in the final set. This is an important distinction as the official one is larger than that original version, but let me know in the comments what you think.

The Verdict

Is it worth picking up? Absolutely. At 964 pieces, it offers a solid build experience with engaging “SNOT” (Studs Not On Top) techniques. While the doghouse build is a little repetitive, the poseability and the “Starry Night” reveal make it pure joy.

It’s iconic, fun to build, and offers incredible display value. I sincerely hope this isn’t a one-off and that we see more Peanuts sets (or even a CMF series) in the future!
