Grand Opening Date For Penrith’s New LEGO Certified Store

The LEGO Certified stores continue their march across Australia with a new store announced for Penrith opening on the 6th of August.

Monday 25th July 2022: Alquemie Group and LEGO® Australia and New Zealand today announced the Grand Opening date for Penrith’s new LEGO® Certified Store will be Saturday 6th August.

The custom-built store will be located on Level 2 in Westfield Penrith, with 207sqm of prime retail positioning, offering a wide selection of LEGO® sets, including fan favourites, seasonal drops and hard-to-find editions.

Matthew Robertson, Managing Director, Licensed Brands, Alquemie Group comments: “We look forward to unveiling the new LEGO® Certified Store in Penrith, including many brick-built features that are a tribute to imagination and creativity.

“We are confident the new custom-built store will capture the attention of our growing and loyal brick fans in Western Sydney.”

Custom-built features of the new LEGO® Certified Store in Penrith include: • Large 3D brick-built model of a Firefighter

Comprised of 46,394 LEGO® bricks, representing over 244.5 hours of building time • Large 3D mosaic of The Three Sisters, Blue Mountains
Comprised of 45,433 LEGO® bricks, representing 384 hours of building time

LEGO® Certified Stores are renowned across the globe as iconic retail experiences with landmark locations in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai and Denmark and a footprint in more than 50 countries.

Troy Taylor, General Manager Australia and New Zealand, The LEGO Group comments: “Penrith’s first LEGO® Certified Store will be an incredible experience for all, and we are delighted to showcase the newest and best of what LEGO® has to offer to the community.”

Scentre Group General Manager Centre Experience, Karen Skinner said: “The countdown is well and truly on for us to welcome the first LEGO® Certified Store in Western Sydney to Westfield Penrith. We know this will come as exciting LEGO news to our customers; further reinforcing our commitment to delivering innovative retail, lifestyle and social experiences that meet the interests and needs of the local community.”

In addition to custom-built brick features, the new store will also incorporate signature LEGO® Certified Store retail features including:

  • Pick a Brick Wall: grab a cup and fill it with your choice of LEGO® bricks and elements, with endless combinations of shapes and colours to choose from;
  • Build a MinifigureTM Station: mix and match from a wide selection of heads, hair, tops, bottoms and accessories to create a bespoke LEGO® MinifigureTM collection;
  • Digital Box: scan almost any LEGO® boxed set and watch it come to life in 3D, live on the wall- mounted screen in-store;
  • Brick Specialists: in-store experts can help brick fans of all ages select the perfect set, whether it’s a special gift, or a treat for the family’s resident LEGO® fan.
