LEGO REVIEW: City #60347 Grocery Store – a fresh set?

August 10, 2022 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 2 minutes

This is my review of the LEGO 2022 Grocery Store which comes with 404 LEGO bricks (that is not an error) and includes 5 minifigures, 2 vehicles and bucket loads of playability. But is it worth the high asking price? Or is this a supermarket that charges too much?

What a catch! I was filming my review of the LEGO City 60347 and I was trying to demonstrate the effectiveness of the elastic band in it as a catapult, and somehow not once but twice, the payload landed perfectly back on the forks! It was EPIC!

About this LEGO Set
The LEGO City Express Passenger Train set (60337) includes a remote-controlled bullet locomotive with working, dimmable headlights and LEGO Powered Up technology, a dining car, passenger car, station platform, 24 track pieces and 6 minifigures for endless hours of toy train-themed role play.

About this LEGO Tutorial
In this video, I explain to you exactly what a Jacobs bogie is and then I will show the parts and process required to make the bogie I have created. The process is fairly straightforward and the parts list is included. A tutorial shows you the steps involved and the final outcome of that process. Which is the LEGO City Express Passenger Train with some – in my not-at-all biased opinion – kick-ass jacobs bogies!

What is a Jacobs Bogie?
Jacobs bogies are placed between two carriages with the weight of each carriage being spread across the single Jacobs bogie. By setting the carriages up this way, it smooths the ride of bogie carriages and adds less weight and drag to the train.

LEGO City #60335 Train Station Review! A train set worth waiting for!

July 27, 2022 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 3 minutes

This is a review of the 2022 LEGO City Train Station (60335). It’s been 6 years since we last had a LEGO train station in the form of the 60050 Train Station. Was it worth the wait? You bet it was! This is a fantastic set! In fact, it’s so good my kids took it to play with before I could review it and misplaced one of the minifigures. Little stinkers! But it was worth it watching them set up the LEGO trains and add in their own station LEGO Moc to complement this one.
