How to build a LEGO Train Handcar inspired by the LEGO Ideas Book 7777

Reading Time: 2 minutes

How to build a LEGO Train Handcar inspired by the LEGO Ideas Book 7777. This was a smaller build in the LEGO Ideas 7777 book and I wanted to build it using modern LEGO Train parts.

Classic Inspiration

For those that have read the 7777 LEGO Train Ideas book, you will recognize this as being similar to the Handcar featured at the end of that book. That’s because I was inspired to make this fun little LEGO Train build be that very build

You can see that it’s profile is different, sitting higher and not having the coloured plates that same way. This is mostly because of the size and shape of the newer train wheels – they are a lot taller than before. But, their design is more solid.

This build is filled out with some ladders, and I’ve used red and white to make it bolder and – I think – more interesting.

You can see the GJBricks SigFig Minifigure riding the handcar and I’ve included some silly shots of him on some bits of the Studsdburg LEGO City Train Loop.

Revisiting something I started a while back. My rollercoaster. This is going to hopefully be compact but make use of the pirate coaster, pirates of barracuda bay and I’m aiming to try to build a launch system rather than the chain system LEGO uses. :fire:The one with the LEGO Aliens MOC experience - Part 2A teaser from my the next floor of my central perk moc. Few bits from a famous movie franchise in there. Can you guess what it is? And I thought M-Tron made a good crossover. One that was released a few years ago to employees of a company and then re-released as a general set two years ago. It’s a beast and one I’d wanted for ages.
