LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum Modular MOC

February 23, 2022 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Finishing off the interior of my huge LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum Modular moc has been a passion project for several weeks. Being version 2, and having more interior space I could finally deliver the interior details I’d always wanted. And I could not be happier with the results of my LEGO MOC! Every floor is brimming with details!

You may have seen the original 3 story version I created a few years back. If you didn’t see it, you can watch my Custom LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown Modular Showcase (76108) over on the GJBricks LEGO YouTube Channel.

Before I carry on, be sure to check out the gallery below!

I loved how that looked, but I’d always wanted to make it have more presence and be closer to the movies. That meant adding a 4th floor and whilst I was at it I made the floors a little bigger. In doing that I was able to add some more details to the exterior such as windows, New York wear and tear and a more detailed roof.

One new detail I especially like is the 1st-floor feature window. Again, a detail from the movies but it also makes the interior of the 1st floor more interesting. And if you look around the building I’ve added bits of decay and damage all over. It may be LEGO but it doesn’t have to be perfect looking! It is meant to be in New York after all.

Interior design is all the rage!

With this version, I wanted to take advantage of the space and improve each of the floors. The ground floor had always felt empty, so now it has some of the cabinets and display cases you can see in the movies. There’s also a fireplace that could be seen in the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. Whilst I was at it, I made the grand staircase a little smaller to give me a bit more space.

The 1st-floor landing also benefitted from the larger space allowing me to have more space on each side of the stairs. There’s the new feature window letting more light in. The shelves have moved and there is more furniture everywhere.

Where it gets super interesting is the 2nd floor. When the Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop (76185) came out I knew I wanted to include it. Unfortunately, it’s meant to be the basement – again, like the scene in the Spider-man movie. But what the heck, it’s my MOC and I wanted a really cool basement on the 2nd floor. It’s overflowing with shelves, a kitchen, washing machine, portal (from the set), workshop and more… Seriously, it took me days to finish that floor!

The top floor office has not changed much. It didn’t need to. The only major change is that the mechanism for the monster is now properly built into the wall.

As for the roof. Well… I went to town on that too! In the Avengers Endgame movie, you get a great view of the roof and the garden on it. So now there’s a garden. But being New York, it also needed a water tower and why not throw in a washing line too? Doctor Strange likes it’s so much he’s up there painting his next masterpiece.

So there you have it. A quick tour of my huge LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum Modular MOC.

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments. And feel free to share it around. And don’t forget to watch the video and like and subscribe to my YouTube channel!
