LEGO Lighting Kit Installation for Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (#10274)

This is a review of the Game of Bricks LEGO Lighting Kit for the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (10274). This is the version with sound and remote control. And it is awesome!

Installing it was very easy and took about 3-4 hours. The 8 bags in the kit are well labelled, and you build through each set of lights as bags 1-8 before installing the final connection kit – it comes in 3 flavours:

• standard
• standard with remote
• standard with remote and sound

This review is for the sound version and it is epic! It even plays the original Ghostbusters Theme Tune by Ray Parker Jr (Although I’ve had to edit it out for copyright reasons).

When I had it all connected up and turned it on for the first time, I was grinning like a Cheshire cat! It was bloody awesome!

As with any of these kits, they do affect the “clutch power” of the LEGO bricks so it can make some bits a little bit prone to being knocked off. But really, it’s not too bad and as with a lot of these things, once it’s done you don’t generally change it.

My one criticism would be that a couple of the cables could have been a tiny bit longer. The reason is I could have connected cables up a little better and I also had a couple come loose on me.

But overall, I’d highly recommend this set to anyone who is in the market to make the LEGO Ghostbusters set 10274 even more amazing!
