Modified LEGO Hogwarts Express Train and Carriages MOC (set 75955)

May 24, 2019 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In this video I’ll show you the changes I made to the fabulous LEGO Hogwarts Express train using a second set and some parts from Bricklink.

This custom LEGO Train MOC has been extended by 2 studs and the centre whistle moved back 2 studs. This was to better match the real Hogwarts Express train – although I might change it further but then the tender would need an extension too.

For the carriages, I’m using a 24 stud long train carriage base (the same size as city trains like the LEGO City Passenger Train 60197). I decided they were a good size as my layout is quite short and this way they all match (and saves arguments with corners!).

Both carriages have working doors, a few extra details and one is fitted out as a full dining car now. Don’t forget to say hi to Dr McBrick and GJBricks in the dining car!

Let me know what you think along with suggestions when you’ve finished watching the video and don’t forget to like it!

LEGO Pirates of Barracuda Bay Roller Coaster - Build part 1Was doing some testing on the rollercoaster and decided to invite @cazmockett and @drmcbrick to join me. Here they are passing through Pirates landing. Video preview of the first stages coming tomorrow. :fire::fire: Follow me on YouTube :fire::fire: httpsMy kids have found a new species of Unikitty! Here’s a sneak peak of it. Will be detailing it with parts from the rest of that set. But first I need to figure out the mechanism. This weeks challenge! :fire::fire: Follow me on YouTubeLEGO LIVE STREAM BUILD #63 - Sunday with@BlockHeadUKRevisiting something I started a while back. My rollercoaster. This is going to hopefully be compact but make use of the pirate coaster, pirates of barracuda bay and I’m aiming to try to build a launch system rather than the chain system LEGO uses. :fire:The one with the LEGO Aliens MOC experience - Part 2A teaser from my the next floor of my central perk moc. Few bits from a famous movie franchise in there. Can you guess what it is? And I thought M-Tron made a good crossover. It’s like the logo from those movies but upside down. :fire::fire: Follow me onGood news! I figured out how to put a LEGO minifigure head onto the friends dolls. I really need to stop getting distracted when I’m making LEGO with my kids! :fire::fire: Follow me on YouTube :fire::fire: https://youtube.com/gjbricks #lego #gjbricks #leg
