This week I look at LEGO Stop Motion Animation. The art of both telling stories with builds and building with stories!
If you have suggestions, put them in the channel discussion page, tagged #5andabit. The first rule of the 5 and a bit club is that you cannot self-promote.
Those of you that watch my channel regularly know that I love stop motion videos, and make them myself sometimes. They take time to make and are very involved in a lot of levels.
In this selection of videos, I’ve really focused on two types of Stop Motion Animation:
Those that tell stories with the build – e.g. They make an animation with what they have built. And those that build with stories – those like myself that build using animations.
This video is focused on smaller channels where I can to help support and grow them, but there are a couple of larger ones included.
Some of the techniques they’ve used in the animations blow my mind! The motion of the LEGO Minifigures is so smooth that I can only imagine how long it took them to build!
And then there’s the way the sets are built. The patience and creativity of the LEGO Community remind me more and more why I have engaged as an AFOL builder and embraced this fabulous, friendly, inspiring community!
I really hope you find the Top 5 And A Bit selection from this week as exciting, enlightening and inspirational as I did when I saw them!
