LEGO 2019 Ninjago Summer Sets Revealed! My thoughts and Pics of the sets coming up. It’s a good line up of vehicles and playsets. I’m especially fond of the mech! And there’s another Dragon!!!!

First up is Lloyd’s Titan Mech (70676) which is a great looking beast! It has a very iconic style using some outstanding LEGO design techniques to create something very unique. I especially like the detachable flyer on the back which reminds me of Jay’s Flyer in the LEGO Ninjago Movie.

Next is the Castle of the Forsaken Emperor (70678). This is the biggest set in the lineup and features a cool looking Ice Dragon. There’s a lot of playability crammed into this LEGO Playset and the Emperor’s thrown looks pretty cool!

Lloyd’s Journey (70671) is the smallest set in the lineup and includes a 3 tail Wolf – this LEGO set is worth it just for that in my books. Looks like a fun little playset!

Cole’s Dirt Bike (70672) is a ferocious looking bike that reminds me of the Conveyex from the recent LEGO Star Wars Solo lineup. This is armed to the hilt and looks amazing!

ShuriCopter 70673 – or the shuriken-copter if you will – is yet another twist on LEGO helicopters. And I think a good one! Blending Apache design with jet fighter speed and futuristic stealth and speed, this is a great looking set!

Fire Fang (70674) is the one I’m honestly on the fence about. I think it might be better than it looks in the photos but we won’t know till we have the LEGO model in our hands for sure. It comes with some great minifigures though, and I love the Stargate SG-1 design they have – I’m a big fan so this set is almost worth it just for that!

Katana 4×4 (70675) is the car of the lineup and I feel is reminiscent of the recent LEGO Batman Movie Batmobile. It’s got another great selection of minifigures and some reasonable play features. I’m honestly hoping there’s a bit more to wheels like suspension or adjustability.

And finally Land Bounty (70677). As the name suggests, a land going version of Destiny’s Bounty. This one is packed with features, a fully detailed interior and a detachable barge which reminds me of the original small Destiny’s Bounty design. This is a great LEGO set in my books!

So that’s the line-up of sets. It’s got a good variety and scale of price. But most of all, it really builds on the already awesome Ninjago style and Lore.
