Mass Effect M35 MAKO Vehicle MOC Created in LEGO Technic

May 9, 2018 By GJBricks Leave a Comment

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Flickr user Luca Gaudenzi shared his latest LEGO Technic MOC in the form of Mass Effect‘s awesome M35 MAKO exploration vehicle.

This was a vehicle that I was very fond of in the original Mass Effect video game. For those that don’t know, you use it to explore planets in the game and is driven by Commander Shepard. It’s equipped with a 155mm mass accelerator cannon and coaxial-mounted machine gun so not many things stand in its way.

A work of LEGO Technic Art

The M35 MAKO is a magnificent vehicle and Luca Gaudenzi has done a splendid job recreating the lines of the vehicle. It’s an all-terrain machine with big bouncy suspension and wheels. This allows it to go anywhere, as you can imagine from these shots.

Here you can see a view of the top with the exhaust vents from the hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. The shape is not easy as the tanks design lines are really sleek. I really admire the way he’s built up the angles all around the body using traditional LEGO Blocks to overlay the underlying Chassis. The question is, will he try and motorize it next?
