About this Video:
This moc is an upgrade of my previous lighthouse moc. I wanted to add in more detail and a side building. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esjCkYP4y7g
One of the building blocks for the idea for this LEGO MOC was the inclusion of Bro Thor’s Apartment (set 76200). In the movies it on rocks near the ocean, so I thought why not put it on an island! But I needed to model the interior properly and close the 2 open sides off, so it now has a bed and a kitchen.
Above it is the original Lighthouse Keepers cottage from LEGO Creator Set 31051. And that conveniently has an outdoor Dunny (above Thor’s window 😉). One area I put a lot of work into was the flora over that top area and the rocks surrounding Thor’s cabin. I had to work within the limits of the space but I think it came out well.
The Lighthouse tower itself is on the next island and for that, I’m rather proud of the curved staircase I built in the rocks leading up to the tower. I think they came out very well. The lighthouse itself is almost untouched except for another layer of bricks in each level and one extra level of colour.
In the rest of the scene, there is a small mooring for the LEGO Hidden Side Fishing Boat and the whole scene is designed to connect the amazing LEGO Ideas Fishing Shore (21310).
As you can tell, I put a lot of time into this MOC and I hope it shows!
